About us

We are a filmmaking company

The members of Red Leaves work at the crossroads of Filmmaking , Film criticism, journalism, audio visual production and social and environmental justice.

Filmmaking

Our production company is focused on films and multimedia projects centered in anti-colonial, feminist, queer and (im)migrant experiences. We are committed to make content respecting communities and the environment, in a reciprocal and empathetic way. We actively engage with grassroots movements, not only as protagonists of our films but as true collaborators and through the consistent choice of diversity behind the camera, we will ensure that our film crew represents a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

Impact campaigns

We owe nothing to those who have amassed power and told lies over the centuries. We owe a lot to marginalized communities, grassroot movements and living forms that have been told and made over generations. Together we reclaim the narrative and aim to change limiting beliefs when we do so. We say enough confusion and extraction and focus on our beautiful work of care, repair and rejoice.

Reclaiming the narrative

Public programming

Fostering meaningful experiences and conversations around climate justice, human rights, regeneration and healing.

This is why we showcase the work of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), their voices, imagery and ideas to share their visions and experiences, their struggles and joys in resisting oppression AND caring for life.

We curate participatory events and spaces for audiences to express their solidarity and stay empowered. This is how we reclaim the narrative, nurture our communities and pass on the necessary knowledge to care for the Planet: soul and soil are not separate.
